Switzerland loves Art
"The central theme of "The 12-Month-Performance" is the right to a security of existence in "the trial land of Switzerland". Thomas Zollinger came up with the concept for the project, which further encompasses the participation of voluntary an involuntary role players: members of the "Ritual Theatre", employees of the city of Bienne/Biel Social Welfare Office, and town people who react - by way of letters to the editor, or even directly - to whatever the artist does or does not do. Another explosive project ingredient consists of an ever growning file composed of paragraphs of law, artist comments, newspaper articles and, last but not least, extensive correspondance with sundry lawyers and government officials."
